2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma 3.5L Carven Exhaust Cat-Back Exhaust Kit | 4.0” Single Exit Tip

I ordered this exhaust less than 90 days ago. First issue was the exhaust tip they sent was the wrong tip. Customer service was adamant I was wrong and it took three emails and a phone call to prove to them it was the wrong size tip. They finally admit they’re wrong and send me the correct tip. That should have been an indicator of their lack of service after crawling under the truck snd seeing carbon at the joints. I install the system and for the first 2800 miles it was fine, no issues. Recently a whistling sound started so I contact customer service. They again blame me and the install despite the fact that for nearly 3000 miles it’s been fine. Their response is all over the place and less than helpful. They blame the clamps but don’t offer to send new clamps, they say my truck (2023 with 30K miles) is running too rich, they tell me to torque the clamps (they were already at 55 ft-lbs), and then they say it might be exhaust recirculating and causing the issue. They settle on asking me to take it all apart and reinstall it, despite the fact their own video says don’t loosen and retighten the clamps, and they started the exchange by saying the clamps were “faulty”. In other words, they have no idea why there’s an issue, but they refuse a return and offer zero practical solutions. So less than 90 after purchase I have a $700 exhaust that whistles and will have to be removed from my truck. Luckily, during overland expos and at Toyota events we can share our experience with others, which we intend to do. Customer service was really bad and I’m disappoint this is how they do business. Save your money for the Overlander exhaust and avoid this system if you want something that actually works.

Their customer service is unmatched. They worked with me to return a piece and send a new one. The exhaust looks very nice under the truck. I opted for the over axle dump option and it is very clean. Sounds very refined and doesn't drone. Still growls and pops and burbles on downshifts but isn't annoying at all. Very happy with the exhaust.

Put it on my taco a couple days ago. Only reason I have it 4 stars is the muffler section had a flat spot on the end of the muffler pipe section. I took a mallet and opened it back up but it looked like it got dropped or something. Not a big deal. Prolly during shipping.
As for the exhaust, it’s loud. My truck doesn’t have enough noise dampening so that’s on me. It does however sound really good and my mpg’s have gone up! Less lugging on inclines and the motor seems to work less. Only had it on a couple days but I do like it. Sounds great and got a little more pep.

This exhaust sounds really good, and I love both the sound and appearance. The only issue I have is with the rear pipe; it hits my leaf spring since my truck has OMU rear leaf springs installed. That's the only complaint I have about this exhaust.

1) Remember installing this will make ur mpg go down. I was getting around 18 in my 2023 Tacoma. Now it’s more like 13 which I’m perfectly okay with and was expecting.
2) Fits a 2023 Toyota Tacoma short bed.
3) Didn’t have a vehicle lift but was able to get under the truck and install it on ground. Took about an hour.
4) Things you need: Impact drill, 14MM and 15MM sockets, a GOOD quality hanger removal tool (cheap ones will bend) , grease/wd-40, and an allen key set for the exhaust tip. (They don’t mention the allen key set in the video but u need it to tighten down the exhaust tip)
Only thing I’m annoyed about was the install video. The guy at the end says something about ‘now let’s go back and tighten everything down’ but I already was doing that along the way since it looked like he was too. All in all I lucked out and everything was in place so I didn’t have to go back and adjust things. Item was packaged good, shipping was faster than expected, install was easy, sounds so much better. Great product would recommend. I got this for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma short bed and it does fit.

I have a 2021 toyota tocoma. This exhaust was ez to install in my driveway with the cack tires on ramps.

Well worth the price and waiting a few weeks to get this kit for my Tacoma. Excellent quality fit and finish on all the pieces included, everything fit right together and installation was easy, took less than one hour by myself and using only basic tools (exhaust hanger pliers highly recommended!). Looks great under the truck and sounds awesome, especially for a V6. Very deep and throaty tone, it is reasonably quiet at low RPM, barely louder than stock at idle, but is quite loud at higher revs or under moderate to hard acceleration.

Apparently there would be 3 shipments- 1 for the exhaust, 1 for the t-shirt, and 1 for the hat. After about 6 weeks we finally received the hat which is great, but was still waiting on the exhaust. We got hammered at the border for unexpected duty, and and when the exhaust finally arrived they shipped the wrong one. It came with a chrome tip instead of black, and the exhaust itself was for the wrong vehicle. We didn't realize this until after we had already removed the existing exhaust and were ready to install the new one. The box packaging indicate the correct order, and one of their reps (Cam) even signed the packing slip- but it was the wrong one in the box. I have been asking for a manager to phone me so I can have a conversation over the phone and to give an opportunity to make things right, but we are only getting short & snippy email responses back from their Customer service rep. We still don't have the exhaust we ordered and paid for, we don't even have an ETA for the correct one, no tracking number, and no updates on timing. Basically all we have at this point is a $1000 Hat. Super unimpressed. time, along with a Hat, T-Shirt and free sticker.
